Garcinia cambogia is a small pumpkin-shaped tropical fruit whose rind is dried and used in traditional South Asian cooking, as well as processed into extract capsules marketed for weight support. The extract, standardized for a compound called hydroxycitric acid, is what's typically sold as a supplement.

⚖️ Caution

Can also lower blood sugar. Avoid in pregnancy, breastfeeding, and with any liver condition, and stop immediately and see a doctor for nausea, dark urine, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.
